Prior to joining SSARCO, Lance Abaya partnered with Asana Partners and Land Design to revitalize a series of prominent properties along Main Street in Dallas' iconic Deep Ellum district, creating a lively hub for retail and dining while honoring the neighborhood's raw, authentic character. Enhancements to the existing buildings bring new dimension and visual interest to structures that once served purely functional roles, incorporating new storefronts, canopies, and lighting that blur the boundary between interior spaces and the street. The project also weaves in decorative lighting, custom signage and graphics, landscaping, seating areas, and shade structures — all working together to craft welcoming outdoor spaces between buildings. The result is a thoughtfully upgraded streetscape that breathes new energy into Deep Ellum without compromising the eclectic, gritty spirit that defines it.
