Originally established in 1941, the Dallas Farmers Market has been transformed into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly destination in Downtown Dallas, with the reimagining of Shed 2 as a food hall with shared indoor and outdoor dining areas, complemented by a new four-story mixed-use building featuring retail, restaurant spaces, and residences; enhanced connectivity through wide sidewalks, greenery, pedestrian-only festival streets, and the adjacent City Futsal complex—with courts, pavilions, and a shaded cabana—further strengthens the market as a dynamic, walkable community hub.
